200 mL Cord Blood Plasma.
Human umbilical cord blood plasma (hUCBP) is essentially the liquid phase of the umbilical cord blood. hUCBP is isolated using a sterile technique during the harvesting of the cord blood Stem Cells. This cord blood plasma contains various Cytokines, Growth Factors and Immune Modulatory Factors, that are able to regulate immune cells and adult Stem Cells. For example, hUCBP is enriched with a tissue inhibitor called Metalloproteinases 2 (TIMP2), a factor that may increase synaptic plasticity and hippocampal function by regenerating brain cells that are lost during the aging process. Metalloproteinases (MMP), which TIMP2 targets, degrade extracellular matrixes and are known to increase during various pathological conditions including inflammatory diseases, tumor growth and metastasis.
